How the weekend runs

Three days, one celebration

Your guests are flying a long way. The package turns the wedding into a weekend they will remember, planned and run by our team.

  1. A long deep-blue velvet bar under a sculpted orange canopy, with high tables, wire stools and pink flower arrangements around it.

    Day 1

    Welcome drinks

A relaxed first evening with a DJ and a small dance floor, where your families welcome you to Rio and the weekend starts together. Venue and timing are confirmed in your written proposal.

  2. An outdoor ceremony seen from the side of the lawn: the couple at a flower arch at the end of the aisle, guests seated in two blocks, under a tall palm and dense green forest.

    Day 2

    The wedding

The ceremony on our garden estate in Ilha de Guaratiba, on the west side of Rio de Janeiro, or at one of the two add-on locations further down; then the reception and the party on the estate. What the day covers is listed below.

  3. The infinity-edge pool lit blue at night, water spilling over its edge, with a lit wall of tropical plants behind it.

    Day 3

    After party

An informal celebration with no dress code, one more night together before everyone flies home. Venue and timing are confirmed in your written proposal.

Except for the Christ the Redeemer and Grumari add-ons further down, every photograph on this page was taken on our estate. They show the setting and the mood, not a past package; where the welcome event and the after party take place is confirmed in your written proposal.

Where Day 2 happens

The estate, in photographs

A garden estate inside the city of Rio de Janeiro: ceremonies among the palms, a covered hall that doubles as the rain plan, the pool terrace for the party, and a bridal suite for getting ready.

  • A bride and groom at the altar under an arch of greenery and white flowers, the officiant in gold vestments beside them and the late sun shining through the palms.
  • A bride seen from behind on a white aisle lined with white hydrangeas, walking towards an arch of white flowers, wooden chairs on both sides and tropical forest behind.
  • A bride standing under a glass-roofed pavilion with tall white sculpted columns and draped fabric, white flowers along the aisle and green planting behind.
  • A bride in a voluminous ruffled gown seen from behind, facing a ceremony set in a circle on the lawn, ringed with pink and white flowers.
  • A bride seen from behind in front of the cake and sweets table, set on wooden furniture with white flower arrangements under hanging lights.
  • A bride and groom embracing on the lawn, her long veil and train spread across the grass, a wall of tall tropical trees behind them.
  • A ceremony seen from the top of the stone staircase, guests seated in two blocks on the lawn between palms and unbroken green forest.
  • An open-air ceremony with a mirrored walkway between two blocks of wooden chairs, a white flower arch at the end and dense forest all around.
  • A ceremony under a clear-roofed marquee with a crystal chandelier, a white aisle edged with white flowers and guests seated on wooden chairs.
  • The infinity-edge pool with a pale concrete deck, a channel of water along its side, monstera leaves in the foreground and the covered lounge behind.
  • A bar built around a sculpted golden tree beside the pool, under hanging glass lights, with pink flowers along the counter.
  • A lounge of wooden armchairs and low tables on patterned rugs, under a large arrangement of pale blossom and hanging fibre lanterns, with a blue buffet counter behind.
  • A place setting close up: wine glasses, a dark charger plate, white flowers and large green leaves on a white tablecloth.
  • A tower of pink macarons on a table lined with red flowers and candles in glass, beside the lit pool and a wall of hanging glass bubbles.
  • A long platter of cherry tomatoes and fresh cheese with herbs, beside grapefruit and figs, on a buffet dressed with greenery.
  • A wide stone staircase climbing between palms and bamboo towards the flower arch where the ceremony takes place.
  • The wrought-iron gate at the entrance to the estate, open onto a thatched walkway hung with lanterns.
  • The lounge of the bridal suite, with lit mirror stations, armchairs, a patterned rug and windows open onto the garden.

Above the city, early in the morning

Add-on: a ceremony at Christ the Redeemer

Say your vows at the foot of Christ the Redeemer, in the early morning, with Sugarloaf Mountain and Guanabara Bay below you.

It is an add-on, not part of the package price: from US$ 21,000, including transport to the summit, quoted separately for your date in your written proposal. Availability, timing and the sanctuary’s authorisation are confirmed with you before anything is booked, and how it fits with the rest of the weekend is planned with you.

  • A bride and groom embracing on the balustraded terrace below the statue, her long lace veil spread on the floor, Sugarloaf Mountain and the bay behind them at dawn.
  • A white aisle lined with baby’s breath on the terrace at sunrise, the bride and groom at the altar at the far end, guests on both sides under an orange sky.
  • The newlyweds walking back down the flower-lined aisle on the terrace, the bride raising her bouquet, guests applauding behind them.

How a wedding at Christ the Redeemer works: the Sanctuary’s rules

By the sea

Add-on: a ceremony at Grumari beach

Say your vows in a private garden on the edge of Grumari beach, one of the best-preserved beaches in Rio de Janeiro, protected as an environmental reserve, with the sea behind you, the sound of the waves and the late-afternoon light.

Grumari is a short drive from the estate, on the same side of the city, so the celebration moves from the beach to the party without a long trip. The ceremony takes place at a beachfront venue that we book and pay for when you choose the beach. It is an add-on, not part of the package price: quoted separately for your date in your written proposal.
